Through oil painting and bronze sculpture, Camilla Marie Dahl explores the human condition in modern day. With two parallel series of work, she investigates the contradictory world of sexuality and expectation from the female perspective, and mankind's cognitive struggle to exist within a strictly ordered, man-made world.
In 2011, Camilla attended Kunsthøjskolen I Holbæk, a fine arts school in Holbæk, Denmark. She graduated from Skidmore College in May, 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Studio Art. Camilla has received numerous awards including the SEE Beyond Award, which allowed her to complete her first life-size bronze sculpture, the Heinz Award for Outstanding Senior Thesis, and the Manhattan Arts International Award of Excellence. She has had several group and solo shows in venues in Connecticut and New York, and has work in private collections internationally.
