About the artist

Nick Malone is a British artist who works across disciplines, using text, painting and drawing. His work explores the boundary between abstraction and realism, encouraging the eye to travel across an archeology of marks, words and textures.

His latest exhibition at the Art Bermondsey Project Space earlier this year examined the nature of transformation, identity and change between inner and outer worlds. This involved crossing art forms with multiple planes, mark making, soundscape and text that opened into each other in different ways: https://www.nickmalone.com/copy-of-current-projects

Nick has exhibited extensively in London and internationally, including at the Royal Academy, Dulwich Picture Gallery, The British Council Greece and the Carrousel du Louvre, and has received an Arts Council England Award to support him in his creative work.

Rise Art

The Insider Rise Art says:

"With a career that spans literature, academia and now art in the widest sense, Nick Malone is a true polymath; constantly pushing the limits of his practice. Today, Malone’s artistic endeavours concatenate this multifaceted practice, merging canvas with scrawled text and books that double as graphic novels. Realist responses to the personal apparitions of his childhood past coalesce with abstracted compositions that distill the human form to its most basic structural essence- bare linearity. Malone uses his practice to explore both these poles and the liminal boundary in between. "
