Franck Ampenot

Franck Ampenot is a French painter born on August 20, 1961. His landscapes, at the limit between real and imaginary, call on memory, call on memory. The painter looks, sees. After 30 years of practice, oil is now the only technique used. It allows him to translate with great chromatic subtlety the interior landscapes recomposed in the solitude of the workshop. He simply and sincerely performs his work as a painter in all serenity, far from postulates and clichés. Franck is currently living in France with his wife Eve and Filéas their cat Abyssin.
