1. What’s your favourite art gallery/museum?

I frequent so many, but I always like to visit Lyons Wier Gallery, Spoke NY and c24 Gallery. I recently found myself at AFA Gallery for 3 whole days in order to cover a story for Beautiful Bizarre Magazine and fell in love with the owner and her roster of artists!

2. What’s your favourite inspirational quote?

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

I try to be as kind as possible to everyone who crosses my path, and I encourage positivity on a daily basis. It is always important to me to shield myself from negative people.

3. If you could host any 3 people (living or dead) for dinner, who would they be?

Keith Haring, Salvador Dali and Frida Kahlo. I would love to think about the collaborative art that could come out of that dinner.

4. What’s your favourite art world trend right now?

I am a huge fan of hyper-realism and attending shows where I think a painting might be a photograph excites me. I love looking for the strokes or sheen from the medium used such as oil or acrylic. Kit King is a favorite in that area as well as Mike Dargas. Their attention to detail is unprecedented.

5. What would be your top tip for the aspiring art collector?

Buy what you love, not what you think might appreciate in time. Choose to buy pieces you want to look at every day, not ones that sit in storage.
