We are delighted to inform of Select Artist Ting-Ting Cheng's solo exhibition at Taipei Fine Arts Museum, which started last Saturday and will run till the 7th of August 2011. This will be 25 year-old Ting-Ting's first major show in a institution and we are thrilled to show you some installation shots:     In the exhibition Object Fantasy, Ting-Ting Cheng is using photography, objects and language to examine the concept of foreignness and identity. As an outsider living abroad, Cheng is interested in culture barriers, communication errors and national stereotypes that arise between outsiders and local residents. In her works, objects and language symbolize identity, projecting the ambiguity between familiar and unfamiliar, as well as the distance and exoticism created by the phenomenon of foreign culture. They are all concerns and interests that Ting Ting had already explored in her Rise Art prints Still Life With The Apple and Still Life With The Pomelo.     To visit the website of the Taipei Fine Arts Museum please click here.
