Tomorrow, Wednesday the 4th May 2011 between 6pm and 9pm, DEBUT Contemporary will host a Charity Auction aimed at raising funds for the Lupus Research via the St. Thomas Lupus Trust and to which we have contributed by donating one of our prints by Rise Art Select Artist Ting Ting Cheng.

This chronic debilitating disorder of the immune system causes inflammation of virtually any system or organ of the body and can be life threatening. Lupus disease, which to date has no known cure, tragically cut short the lives of two most talented women, Jennie & Jessie Gunhammar. db5stxko1swwaerv399duhlcpgxkootj.jpeg

Both Jennie and Jessie, two talented artists and twin sisters who sadly passed away in the last 18 months from this chronic debilitating disorder, left some amazing work that will also be auctioned tomorrow, with the entire proceeds going towards raising funds for the opening of the first ever walk-in clinic for Lupus.

The DEBUT artists have been incredibly generous and Debut has gathered some amazing art both for the raffle and auction, in which 10 pieces, including one of our Rise Art limited edition prints, will be auctioned by one of the former Christie's auctioneers starting at 7.30pm.

The night has been endorsed by the singer Seal as well as Julian Lennon, who is likely to be attending and giving a short speech on the illness and his involvement with the St Thomas Lupus Trust.

It is a free event, however all those who purchase a ticket for £100 will stand a chance of winning one of the art pieces donated by the DEBUT artists.
