On The Rise

Wondering about art on and offline in the lead up to our first pop-up show in London!

By Scott Phillips | 17 May 2011

Showcasing artwork on a website comes with its challenges. While artists can drastically expand their audience internationally, and consumers are only one-click away from discovering their next favourite artist, there remains something to be said about seeing artwork in the flesh. This is why, at Rise Art we offer a free returns policy on all purchases, and why we encourage our Select Artists to exhibit their work.

From May 21-29 in London, Select Artist Dai Roberts will be presenting an installation of his work at Luna & Curious. We'll be hosting a private view for the artist, and showcasing other work featured on the site throughout the week. For more information or to sign up for the top secret private view, register online.

One of the main advantages of being an online platform is that we are able to discover great talented artists the world over. This week, we are thrilled to announce the launch of two new prints from Rise Art Select Artist Avigail Talmor. Avigail's work has been heralded by our Board of Curators as being amongst the top submissions across the site. Her photorealistic backgrounds coupled with colourful abstract subject matter create work that is both attractive and challenging. 'Checkpoint E' and 'Subcity' are now available in exclusive editions of 30.
