Carolyn Bunt

Carolyn Bunt's photographs seem curiously empty until you look closely. Then you see, but in a deliberately faint or intangible way. Bunt is a smart photographer who is more interested in suggesting than describing to the viewer. Her work sits between documentary photography and fine art, as she takes photographs and then manipulates them until they have a quiet power. Bunt has exhibited widely including at the Jerwood. She has said: "I find inspiration everywhere, as long as I'm not looking".
