    This piece is highlighting the plight of the white-tailed bumble bee which has become endangered due to falling numbers because of pesticides and loss of habitat. The title plays on this in that they are indeed 'falling for' mankind, because of mankind. Yet these alchemists are very much needed pollinators and their divine status is hinted at by the upward drips....

    Louise McNaught is a British artist whose work celebrates the glory of nature and animals. She uses blazing neon colours and mixed media to give her subjects a godlike, heavenly quality. Louise’s gentle touch highlights the delicate relationship we humans have with nature. We love the way this artist uses her work to inspire awe for the natural world. Her exquisite animal portraits in particular have the effect of tugging on the heartstrings and resensitising us to the beauty of our natural environment.
