When the artist was a child, she asked her Mother if she could learn to play the Saxophone, however the music teacher at her school suggested the Cornet and she agreed. The soulful sounds of the trumpet or cornet takes her back to fond memories of her childhood. At Saturday music school, the artist recalls feeling inadequate as all the other students played really well. She then decided to quit, informing her music teacher. She never told him the truth about why she quit, instead she focused on abstract painting, and from the age of 15 began to paint visual music.
