Justine Smith

Justine Smith is a British artist who uses paper cutting to explore money and currency. Through collage, print and sculpture, Justine investigates the physical beauty of the banknote and the complicated socio-political relationships with money that it signifies. We love the way her work plays on the power and the significance of money, while at the same time reducing it to its basic essence - paper.

The artist studied at The City and Guilds of London Art School and now works from a studio
in Streatham. She has exhibited her work widely, in the UK as well as in the US.

Justine’s artworks are held by the British Council and the UK Government Fine Art Collection, and her paper cuts have appeared in a range of publications, including Design Week, The Financial Times, Dazed and Confused Magazine. The artist has also been commissioned to produce designs for Liberty and Paul Smith.
