Michel de Gouttes is a modern expression figurative artist. In his paintings, the artist associates the rigor of the composition with the quality of a large colorist.
An intact artistic passion
Michel de Gouttes began his artistic career by presenting his paintings at the Salon des Independents of the French School and also exhibited in several regional fairs.
Caught by his professional obligations, he regrets his brushes regrets, but passion remains intact. Now taking advantage of his retirement, the artist devotes himself entirely to his art.
A portrait painter with an expressionist style
The artist Michel de Gouttes creates portraits in a style inspired by the expressionist artistic movement.
The characters he represents on his canvases have peaceful and often mysterious air. Some of them have blackened eyes, which adds more mystery to these figures. His portraits can, by intuition, evoke those of the famous amedeo Modigliani painter.
