In 1913, he went to Paris and immediately became friends with many painters of Premier of the time, including Pablo Picasso, Juan Gris, Henri Matisse, Henri Rousseau and Chaim Soutine. He established a particularly narrow friendship with the famous Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani.connu for his eccentric personality, Foujita forged a colorful reputation thanks to his haircut, his earrings and his glasses.
