World Oceans Day

Wednesday 8th June was World Oceans Day, and here at Rise Art we were inspired to pick out a series of seascapes to transport us straight to the coast. As we sat in the office, these were the artworks that got us through the day. Check out the collection of original paintings, limited edition prints and photographs and we'll see you at the beach!

Rule Britannia!

Having two birthdays a year is just another perk of being the Queen of England... Don't pretend you're not envious! Fear not though, it's the perfect excuse to indulge in tea and cake and celebrate all things British and let's pray for some sun!

With that in mind, here is one of our newest additions at Rise Art, Susan Elliott. She finds discarded vintage ceramics and memorabilia, painstakingly creating statement murals like this one that's dedicated to our very own Queen of Bling!

Out & About with Rise Art

Exploring the Slade School of Fine Art MFA Show

Our Artist Champion Natalia took a stroll down to the Slade on Thursday evening to check out the opening of the Fine Art Masters graduate show in search of fresh artistic talent. It's safe to say she left feeling pretty inspired with plenty of business cards in hand... Watch this space!

Art WorlD Happenings

Mary Heilmann's surf inspired paintings are on show at London's Whitechapel gallery for the summer. There's free entry to the exhibit, and it has already had stunning reviews from Time Out London and the Evening Standard. Head down if you can and be transported straight to the west coast of the USA! Another one we'd love to add to the Rise Art seascape collection!

New, unseen photographs by Wolfgang Tillmans are on exhibit at the Maureen Paley gallery in Bethnal Green until July 31st. This entrancing show is a must see - it's free entry so no excuses!

Travel With Art

This retrospective of Kusama's artworks is a visual delight, spanning from paintings all the way through to life-size installations. Step into the mind of this innovative artist and see the world through her eyes.

Urban Soul - A Solo Show by Pedro Correa

Pedro Correa's solo show opened on Wednesday evening at the French Art Gallery in London. Our Artist Champion attended the opening and confirmed that his contemplative cityscapes are even more emotive in the flesh. The exhibit is on for a month so go and check it out if you can, but don't worry if not because we'll be running an editorial on the artist very soon...!

Art by Derrick Santini - A Solo Show of Lenticulars

Love & From Whence we Came

Derrick Santini

A selection of works from established photographer Derrick Santini are on exhibit at the Salmontini restaurant in the heart of Belgravia for a month. We love it when great art and great food can be enjoyed all at once... Head over and fall in love with his mesmerising moving lenticulars!

Battersea Orange

Helen Brough

Helen Brough is one of Rise Art's newest additions! Her rich, colourful artworks are vibrant and intriguing. Applying oil paint onto aluminium, she captures hazy, abstracted scenes inspired by the cityscapes and landscapes of London. There's nothing quite like one of Helen's artworks - it would be the talking point of the house!
