Spring, is inspired by artist Marina Jijina’s discovery of the life and works of author Iris Murdoch, including her battle with Alzheimer’s disease later in life. The work is the artist’s dedication to British philosopher and novelist Murdoch, who said, ”People from a planet without flowers would think we must be mad with joy the whole time to have such things about us.”
