This drawing is one of a series inspired by architecture and nature. The embellished and decorative quality of the drawing comes from patterns that repeat throughout nature, whilst the structure is influenced by architectural elements found on the sub-continent.

Sarah Thomas was born in 1980. She lives and works in the South West of England. Sarah graduated from Camberwell College of Art with a BA in Sculpture in 2002 and from the Royal College of Art with an MA in Sculpture in 2005.
