About the Art

‘Matthew’ belongs to a new series of works in which Andy investigates the forgotten structures dotted along the length of the River Thames. A wooden structure stands alone on a warm, abstract background of swirling lines and textured patterns. The artist has managed to convey the grain of the wooden beams in an almost romantic amalgamation of form and content.
