Kerry's work reflects on her own life finding inspiration from the places she have travelled and lived. Through her artistic practice she is able to visually study and explore each location, weaving together historical facts and personal narratives to create emotional intricate scenes and stories. Growing up surrounded by wilderness ignited a love for the environment that has broadened into the production of an array of cultural and nature themed works.  While older collections emphasised nature, landscapes and their living organisms, her current series explores urban scenes, architecture, light, line and space. Her paintings are flooded with colour and intricate details using many layers of paint, pencil and black ink. They combine strong lines and graphic elements with natural forms and patterns which creates an organic quality throughout her practice.
